German Word of the Day App

Learn German

Munich's Marienplatz

The blog has been pretty quiet as of late. I’ve been busy with a little of this and a little of that. The that being developing an app. I decided to put my software developer background to use and build my first app. And what else but an German word of the day app? It made perfect sense to me!

My belief with the German word of the day has always been to make learning a new language fun and easy. By learning a new word everyday, it’s amazing how quickly you can grow your vocabulary. To aid this, I’ve made the daily word available via website, social media (Facebook and Twitter) as well as via a daily email. What was missing was an application for smart phones and tablets where you could easily check the word as easy as you check your email.

Developing the app was a great learning experience and I’m already looking to expand and improve it. But since it’s free, you can’t really beat that! Take a peek if you’ve got an Android device.
